Perfect Vegas Stag Do
We’ve certainly seen how not to do it in the classic opening installment of The Hangover trilogy, but what exactly would make a Las Vegas stag do absolutely perfect? Here are just a few ideas which will hopefully go some way towards inspiring any of you who are thinking of heading to Nevada for the stag of a lifetime…
The casino gaming
Nobody in their right mind could possibly think of visiting Vegas without hitting the jewel in the desert’s legendary casinos. Many of the world’s best-loved pleasure palaces are right here for the taking, including Caesar’s Palace, The Golden Horseshoe and The Bellagio (if you visit the latter then a stag party photograph of your group stood in front of the fountains a la Ocean’s Eleven is mandatory).
When you visit a Vegas casino you need to bear two things in mind: the type of experience you want your party to have and the approximate budget you have to play with. Poker offers slow burning and sophisticated thrills, whilst roulette and craps are lower on skill but higher on energy and more immediate. Slots meanwhile – however fun to play as an individual – are ill-suited to a stag do. To try out some of the games you’d find at any Vegas casino, visit Gaming Club online casino, which will give you a flavour of what a range of classic games are all about.
Any stag party has to look the part, and to a certain degree, how exactly that part should look is defined by the personality of your social group. Nevertheless, whatever your tastes, it’s generally best to hit the casino in style – you’re aiming for Brad Cooper as opposed to Zach Galifianakis here. Buying suits at home is an option, but we’d recommend simply hiring tuxedos upon arrival, especially for your big night on the tiles (here’s an example of what’s on offer). There’s no point getting your own suit all creased on the flight!
There’s all the bold, brash entertainment a stag party could ever desire in Las Vegas, but we recommend you choose carefully to avoid a spectacular miss (Britney Spears in residency or the Blue Man Group, for example). You want something light-hearted but polished – try Richard Cheese if he’s in town! Or, if you’re the kind of guys who favour food over musical entertainment, Vegas is essentially the ‘all you can eat’ buffet capital of the world.
